Restore Backup Software - The Most Critical Thing You Can Leverage To Safeguard Your Files

The realm of restore backup software has matured by leaps and bounds over the past several decades, as file storage has become abundant, network access has grown faster, and software has become more fault-tolerant.

Once upon a time the only solution most corporations had, to set up restore backup software was to install a backup program on your local system that would execute once in twenty-four hours and acquire a snapshot of your system's hard drive. It would then compress this snapshot in a proprietary data format, which then would be transferred onto tape drives attached to the machines themselves.

Decades later, we were able to evolve to the use of recordable and rewritable CD-ROMs and DVDs for mass files storage.

Now fast forward to the present day and we now see that many people have access to use USB drives to quickly backup their files.

Today, we have the ability to backup your machine's hard drive on-demand automatically without the use of any special hardware. All you need is a software agent and high-speed Internet access.

For a mere fraction of what it would have cost you years ago, you can now backup your data. As you edit your files, they are encrypted and transmitted across the Internet securely to a remote backup facility. There is no need to schedule the backups to occur, because the client agent monitors changes in real-time.

Retrieving your files is also fairly simple. Your backup folder is mapped to Windows Explorer as a network share drive. So you can restore your files by copying and pasting them from the network share to your local drive.

Restore backup software has surely progressed since the days of old tape drive backups.
